We are kicking off this (relatively?) new year with a new spin on our Happy Hour get-togethers: in addition to providing space for free-form networking, this time around we will offer facilitated networking opportunities.
That's right, shy folks! We have heard your feedback and we are excited to create new opportunities to connect with others while minimizing the intimidation that can come with being in a large group of strangers.
Never been to a YNPN Portland event before? Are you one of our regulars? All are welcome! This is a great way to see what we're about.
What time does the facilitated networking portion of the event begin? The facilitated networking will begin at around 5:00pm.
What food & beverages will be available? This event is no-host, but we will provide light snacks and appetizers. The food/drink menu is available here.

Looking to get more involved with YNPN Portland?
YNPN Portland is always looking for new, dedicated volunteers to join one of our two committees (see descriptions below). As an all-volunteer organization, we need new talent to help further our mission of engaging young nonprofit professionals around personal and professional development.
We’re looking for people who want to share and strengthen their skills in marketing or event planning, while making new friends and building new connections with fellow professionals! If that’s you, we’d love to hear from you!
The Marketing Committee is responsible for all marketing and publicity of YNPN Portland. Volunteers on this committee manage the YNPN Portland brand and related communications, including website, eNews, social media platforms, promotional materials, and PR & Media relationships. The team’s primary aim is to market YNPN Portland news and events for the overall expansion and success of the group through a multi-faceted communications plan. Volunteers on this committee share and strengthen their writing, editing, design, and technology talents, as well as engaging in creative brainstorming for long-term planning.
The Programming Committee is responsible for creating and planning YNPN Portland’s professional development events. Volunteers on this committee brainstorm and develop engaging event ideas, seek community partners and collaborations for speakers, event locations and food, communicate with the marketing committee to promote events, and see our events through to execution. Volunteers are detail oriented, dedicated, driven, creative, connected and learn what it takes to run successful events.
