Join YNPN Portland in honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by volunteering over MLK weekend! We will be joining Hands On Greater Portland and United Way of the Columbia-Willamette to participate in the Living Cully Cleanup on Saturday, January 16th, from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
Volunteers will meet at the Living Cully Plaza and then split up into three projects: trash pick-up and painting at the plaza, building garden beds at Hacienda CDC's property, Vistas de Rosas, and community gardening at Hacienda CDC's nearby apartment complex. Volunteers should wear clothes they would not mind getting dirty. Please bring work gloves or a water bottle if you have them. For information on accessibility, please contact Hands On at [email protected]
Living Cully is an innovative collaboration between four non-profit organizations in the Cully Neighborhood in NE Portland. Hacienda CDC is a Latino Community Development Corporation that strengthens families by providing affordable housing, homeownership support, economic advancement, and educational opportunities.
Precise location information will be provided in confirmation emails upon sign-up.
