YNPN Portland is always looking for new, dedicated volunteers to join one of our two committees (see descriptions below). As an all-volunteer organization, we need new talent to help further our mission of engaging young nonprofit professionals around personal and professional development.
We’re looking for people who want to share and strengthen their skills in marketing or event planning, while making new friends and building new connections with fellow professionals! If that’s you, we’d love to hear from you!
The Marketing Committee is responsible for all marketing and publicity of YNPN Portland and its events. Volunteers on this committee manage the YNPN Portland brand, including website, eNews & email account, social media platforms, promotional materials, and PR & Media relationships. The team’s primary aim is to market YNPN Portland news and events for the overall expansion and success of the group through a multi-faceted communications plan. Volunteers on this committee share and strengthen their writing, editing, design, and technology talents, as well as engaging in creative brainstorming for long-term planning.
The Programming Committee is responsible for creating and planning YNPN Portland’s professional development and social events. Volunteers on this committee brainstorm and develop engaging event ideas, secure speakers and locations, seek community partners and collaborations and see our events through fruition. Volunteers are detail oriented, creative, connected and learn what it takes to run successful events.
